Introduced in 1988, Tokyo Gift Cards are denominated in 500 Yen and 1,000 Yen. They were issued in First Series, Second Series, Holiday Editions, and Anniversary Editions. Online sales of these notes were suspended years ago. They are exclusively sold and accepted at the Tokyo Disney Resort. The most desirable notes are the First Series that are no longer produced. 

These version of notes as Disney began to expand around the world was a version specifically for Tokyo Disneyland. Even though  early versions are very rare and popular as these gift cards were used in the same manner as dollars, and only produced for a short time.  Current versions produced in more recent years are also expanding in popularity and increasing in value.
