The History of Shanghai China Test Notes (Yuan)
Learn about different China Banknotes created from 2014 - 2020
Prior to the park officially opening in China, test notes were created to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Disney. These notes most closely resembled the traditional Disney Dollars where over the next few years they were produced in gold and silver. China Golddeal Disney bank notes were issued by China Golddeal Investment Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of the China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation. These notes were created to commemorate Disney's 90th anniversary as well as a test note for the opening of the Shanghai Disneyland. This was followed by several versions including the popular Travel in Shanghai series, princess series and several gold notes that were issued over the years.
