The bakery company Accornero issued a series of banknotes denominated in the "Paperdollari" currency as part of a competition. The aim was to advertise the "Frollini di Nonna Papera" (Grandma Duck's cookies). The notes served as collector's items and raffle tickets. The Paperdollari were issued in a ​​2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 & 1,000 denomination. 

Prior to issuing with the serial numbers were the extremely rare specimen series. These notes were issued without serial numbers and listed as all zero’s. What differentiates these Paperopli dollars from other years is they were most like real money as they were issued with specific serial numbers for a limited 12 month period.
